DC Artists Online Meet and Greet 4.14.21

Mingle and network online with DC area Jewish artists, including area artists whose work is featured in the Authenticity and Identity exhibition: Dr. Barry Alpert, Avrum Ashery, Marilyn Banner, Rick Black, Deborah Addison Coburn, Edna Kurtz Emmet, Anna Fine Foer, Barbara Gelman, Barry Goldstein, Ronni Jolles, Shelley Lowenstein, Michele Amira Pinczuk, Phillip Ratner, Gail Rebhan, Hillel Smith, Peter Sprung, Adrienne Torrey, Karen Warshal, and Bonnie Zuckerman.

This event is produced in partnership with the Jewish Artists of the National Capital Region, a community of the Hakhel network supported through the Ministry of Diaspora Affairs.

Following an open session with all attendees where the local exhibiting artists to introduce themselves, this event will feature breakout rooms encouraging all attendees to meet and discuss the themes presented in the exhibition, and a brief presentation about the Jewish Artists of the National Capital Region.

Authenticity and Identity, curated by Ori Z Soltes, investigates contemporary identity through than 70 works of painting, sculpture, photography, and printmaking, including examples of Jewish ritual objects, as well as abstract works, portraits, public artwork maquettes, and more, created by contemporary Israeli artists, European artists, and artists from around the United States, including many from the Washington, D.C. region.
